For your fix to be eligible for our lifetime guarantee, the screen/display being fixed must be Original Direct-From-Factory (eg, Carrier, Apple, Samsung, Google etc) and unopened by another repair shop without liquid damages. Original from factory unopened, or previously fixed by Calgary Phone Repair screen replacements are only eligible for our Lifetime Guarantee. We stand by the quality of our products, and do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis however, based on the nature of the issue post repair. Any damage inflicted by the end-user or the technician will not be covered or eligible for coverage. Any damage inflicted by the end-user or the technician will not be covered under warranty. If parts are damaged during install of another part, and is seemingly unavoidable (usually the tech will advise at the door of other potential risks once they see the device; e.g fingerprint sensor/home button is damaged during screen removal due to excess damages in/around home button screen area) the related part damaged will be adjudicated on a case by case basis for cost of repair/replacement, if any, and/or but not limited to refund(s) for the inconvenience of losing a feature (eg. faceID or touchID). If an avoidable fault arises that it is the technicians (e.g an accidental tear in a flex cable/tools hit LCD panel/static shorts etc.) the technician will replace, at cost or no cost (case-by-case basis), the damaged item(s) pertaining to that specific repair. Pre-diagnostic checklists and Videos/Pictures are completed by each fTech on each repair to verify functionality pre and post repair.
All the returned LCD/OLED Screens and Digitizers must be purchased from Calgary Phone Repair and/or have been professionally installed by a Calgary Phone Repair Tech and must have our distinguishing marks on the parts.
Back Glass Covers (Select Android and Samsung Covers)
Full 1 Year Replacement Warranty is offered on all Android Back Glass Cover Replacements purchased from and installed by Calgary Phone Repair and/or our subsidiaries. If it breaks, cracks and/or lifts, just issue a support ticket with a picture/video of your back glass and, if eligible, a tech will replace it at no part cost (pay just the labor/processing fee), up-to 1 time within the year it was purchased (365 days), so long as it's the same device back glass cover (originally installed by us) being replaced and on the same device with the same device user (non-transferrable). It's our commitment to you and our products - both should be protected. Simply issue a support ticket here, with a picture of your broken back cover on your phone, and we'll take care of the rest!
Notice: Does not include liquid damage or intentional damage or abuse; only accidental damage to the repaired back glass is covered, once (1) within a year with payment of the processing/labor fee of between $25 - $50, depending on the model. Please note, we do not provide guarantee or warrant that the back glass assembly or cover is rated for any ingress protection or waterproofness/liquid resistance post repair, and any damage or lifting resulting from liquid damages, such as a liquid screen protector installation , is not covered.

Aftermarket compatible iPhone 14/14plus or newer devices back glass assemblies carry a 30-day warranty + Guarantee, with the same terms as directly in the above paragraph and will be noted on your invoice.

If it lifts or won't stick down, just issue a support ticket and, if eligible, a tech will replace it at no cost for parts and labor, up-to 1 time within a year (365 days), so long as it's the same device front and/or back adhesive (originally installed by us) being replaced and on the same device with the same device user (non-transferrable). If it breaks, cracks, lifts and / or bubbles, just issue a support ticket and a tech will replace it at no cost for parts or labor, once per year for up-to 5 years, as long as it's the same device screen protector being replaced each time, on the same device with the same user (non-transferrable). Make sure you keep it aside and provide it to the technician upon replacement for exchange, it's required to get approved for your warranty for future claims. 1 Year Warranty on our OEM / Original Quality Batteries due to the finite amount of cycles available on batteries. Please note that apps, themes or bugs draining a new battery are NOT covered in our warranty, as this may be software related and not the battery integrity itself. For example, if the battery starts overheating the phone (rare cases), swelling, the gas gauge chip has issues preventing charging or causing intermitted charging (usually power IC/tristar) or the battery shuts down prior to your warranty termination, we'll happily have a tech come back to adjudicate the issue(s) further, and if eligible, replace the faulty battery at no cost, only paying the $10 recycling fee in most cases. It does not include liquid damage, intentional or accidental damage.
Premium Quality (Aftermarket) Batteries
180 Days Warranty on our Premium Quality (Aftermarket) Batteries due to the finite amount of cycles available on batteries. Your device is NOT ELIGIBLE for any warranty or guarantees once it has water or liquid damages, either pre-fix or post-fix. Furthermore, any repairs conducted and paid for (in terms of water/liquid damaged device repairs) are not covered under this warranty program and there are no guarantees herein for such device repairs.
Should there be additional work involved such as board repairs or clearing of short circuits, an estimate of that additional work is quoted for your consent to continue. Please note, we do not provide refunds for parts installed and service work/labor completed. For example, if your device works for a day (post water/liquid damage device fix) and then shuts down due to the board overheating, you would be quoted for further repairs, and not refunded for work rendered to get your device to that state. Furthermore, we do not have a 'no fix, no pay' policy. In other words, in terms of water damaged device repair, we charge for labor and parts installed, but we generally have a good idea of what will work pre-fix based on our standard questions when estimating a quote for a water/liquid damaged device.
If you feel that your fix was completed incorrectly or the parts used are faulty, please feel free to submit a support ticket for additional support, and understand there may be additional fees for a water/liquid damaged post-fix adjudication ($40 minimum +) should a tech be sent back out for post-fix warranty adjudication. If in doubt, submit a support ticket and we'll address your concerns and advise you thoroughly.
Most other parts, such as charge ports, speakers, cameras, flex cables and board-level fixes are covered with up-to a 1 Year warranty, unless otherwise stated on your invoice/online. Depending on what other part was fixed or board level repair was completed will determine the applicable terms for your warranty. For example, if a Power IC chip was replaced and it is again having power IC related issues or the solder fails within warranty period, then a new Power IC would be replaced again under no costs, if within eligible warranty period. And for example, if there are power related issues post repair still, and it's battery related for example, then a battery replacement fee would be applicable instead and the warranty requested would be denied.
For all of the above, any damage inflicted by the end-user or the technician will not be covered or eligible for coverage. Any parts that become damaged from a replacement of another part (eg. replaced battery that swells and breaks/damages screen and/or lcd) are generally not covered under warranty, even if the failed part is; since this can (and does) happened with your original battery when it swells, and that wouldn't be covered by our warranty of course, so the same logic applies. Our Policy
Unfortunately, Calgary Phone Repair does not accept returns for products purchased elsewhere; these items will be denied and recycled after 72 hours unless requested otherwise ([email protected]). We also do not buy used or broken devices from the public at this time.
To maintain the validity of your screen fix lifetime warranty, it's crucial to understand the conditions that can void it. To better understand what is liquid and / or physical damage, we've created the following guide. Although the below guide is not exhaustive, we believe it will help self pre-diagnose lifetime warranty eligibility. Conditions that void your device eligibility for our lifetime warranty, include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Visible Physical Damage
What it Means: Any new physical damage to your phone screen after the screen fix will void the lifetime warranty.
Examples:
Cracked Glass: Any cracks appearing on the glass of the screen.
Damaged Screen: The screen itself shows cracks.
2. Physical Impact Damage or Other Part Failure (Eg. Battery Swell)
What it Means: Internal damage caused by impacts, even if the exterior glass remains intact, will void the lifetime warranty.
Examples:
Lines on LCD: Lines appear on the LCD screen, indicating internal damage, even if the outer glass is unbroken.
Cracked LCD Layer: The LCD layer underneath the glass is cracked.
3. Water or Liquid Damage
What it Means: Exposure to water or other liquids after the screen repair will void the lifetime warranty.
Examples:
Water Damage Mark Triggered: The water damage indicator is activated after the initial repair.
Residual Liquids, Water or Humidity: Liquids, water or humidity remaining inside the phone.
Corrosion: Corrosion found inside the phone after the initial repair.
Green Screen/Screen Flashes: The whole screen flashes green or other random color.
Additionally, any phones that had water or liquid damage before Calgary Phone Repair's initial screen fix are not covered by our warranty, whether lifetime or otherwise stated warranty offered.
- Why: Water or liquid damage can affect multiple components of your phone and cause extensive damage that goes beyond the initial repair, complicating any subsequent fixes.
- Functionality: Water or liquid damaged devices may stop working at times. While some components may still function temporarily, they are likely corroded, leading to eventual failure. As we are unable to see the future, we are unable to determine functionality or guarantee same for the long-term.
- Temporary: Our goal for water or liquid damaged devices, is to restore them to a working condition immediately post-repair. Due to the nature of electronics and liquids, these fixes may not be guaranteed as a long-term solution.
4. Unauthorized Repairs / Right of 1st Refusal
What it Means: Taking your phone to another repair shop or attempting to fix it yourself after the screen fix, will void the lifetime screen warranty. If you have an issue, and you think it's covered under our lifetime screen warranty program, please submit a support ticket.

Always handle your phone with care, avoid exposure to water or liquids, and rely on Calgary Phone Repair for any necessary fixes to keep your warranty intact. Please note that once you have dropped your device with significant g-force, your device has physical damages or your device has been repaired/opened, the IP68 rating guarantee from manufacturer is null and void. In addition, splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear.
Although our technicians are trained to replace seals and adhesives where applicable, we don’t guarantee against liquid damages or guarantee the original IP68 rating from the manufacturer post-fix. Generally, and in most cases, the IP68 rating is null and void from your manufacturer as soon as the device has physical damages, or has been dropped with significant g-force. This rating cannot be restored by us or any 3rd party shop or the manufacturer without a new factory direct device.
